Due to the current, and forecasted, weather conditions, the Council is receiving a lot of calls from residents either experiencing, or anticipating, flooding in their local areas.  Although we will do what we can, the main problems lie with the sewer system which can not take the volume of water running through it in short periods of time, as seen recently during the very heavy rainfall.
In order to ensure that the issues are reported correctly, can we please ask residents to contact the Environment Agency directly on 0800 807060, so that they are aware of the issues in each area, and can respond accordingly?  Thames Water can be contacted on 0845 9200 800 should residents wish to contact them also.
The Council will ensure the number for the Environment Agency is also highlighted on the Havering website.
WATERLOO ROAD/ EXCHANGE STREET
Work approved by Highways Advisory Committee to improve the junction here should be carried out after the summer. We are working with residents to raise road safety issues in Waterloo Road with the police.
RONEO CORNER
We objected to the large development currently being built, but unfortunately were not successful in our opposition.
KING EDWARD ROAD/ HEARN ROAD/ ALEXANDRA ROAD
We have asked whether the above are now any closer to the top of the list for pavement resurfacing.
WOODFIELD DRIVE
We have reported a blocked gully to the Council.

JUNCTION ROAD
A proposal to install a pelican crossing at the Main Road entry to Junction Road has been rejected as the proposed location would have been dangerous. The Council has attracted funding to put a pedestrian crossing in a safe place further down Junction Road to make it easier for people to cross to the Medical Centre.
MARKET LINK/DUCKING STOOL COURT/THE MEWS
Double yellow lines and no waiting/no loading bans are to be installed here due to serious obstruction and road safety issues.
SHAFTESBURY ROAD
We have reported two potholes in the road surface to the Council.
VICTORIA ROAD
The Council has succeeded in persuading Network Rail that the width restrictions that have placed on the railway bridge are excessive and not proportionate to the problem they are seeking to solve. It his hoped that by the time you read this work on reopening the bridge will be well advanced. In Victoria Road inside the Ring Road, many thanks to residents who have helped with suggestions as to where new litter bins which the Council is to install would make the most difference.
STATION PARADE
We are liaising with a number of agencies and residents regarding ongoing environmental health issues.
MILL PATH
It seems that it may be possible to clear this path,.
BRENTWOOD ROAD
The Council has reported blockages in surface water sewers near the junction with Francombe Gardens to Thames Water. Many thanks to the resident who raised the issue with us.
MANOR ROAD.
The Council has repaired a pothole which was reported to us by a resident.
KINGS ROAD
Many thanks to the resident who reported the pothole at the junction with Princes Road to us. The Council has now repaired it.
DOLPHIN APPROACH

THE AVENUE
Residents have reported concerns about trade waste to the Council.
COTLEIGH ROAD/ STOCKLAND ROAD/ HONITON ROAD
Residents have raised the issue of the repair of the fence near the church in Cotleigh Road with Homes in Havering. Residents in these roads have raised a number of environmental concerns with us and we hope that a new litter bin can be installed in the area to help deal with some of the issues. We would be very glad to hear from residents with concerns in these roads and see if we can effect greater liaison between a number of agencies to deal with matters arising. Do please contact us if you would like to be involved.
ST. ANDREW’S ROAD/ QUEEN STREET
It is hoped that the Council may be able to resurface the pavements to complement the wide ranging environmental improvements that Homes in Havering have made here.
