Romford Market to celebrate The Queen becoming longest reigning monarch

It’s party time at Romford Market on Saturday 12 September as traders join forces to commemorate Her Majesty The Queen becoming Great Britain’s longest reigning monarch.

On parade at the event to provide music, will be the Hornchurch Drum and Trumpet Corps along with the Town Crier, on-street entertainers and performers.

And to help families celebrate this special occasion there will be free face painting, fairground rides and a bouncy castle.

Cabinet Member for Environment, Councillor Robert Benham, said: “Saturday is always a great day in Romford Market with lots of stalls, food outlets and fun but this Saturday promises to be spectacular as we celebrate Her Majesty becoming Britain’s longest reigning monarch.

“As we know from the St George’s Day events each year Romford Market Traders are a very patriotic group and I am sure they will be celebrating this unique occasion in true Romford Market style.”
