If you are a keen gardener or need inspiration for your own garden you may want to take up a rare opportunity to enjoy the award-winning grounds of Saint Francis Hospice. BBC Essex's gardening expert Ken Crowther will be presenting two question and answer sessions at the open gardens event on Saturday 11th June. Set in nearly two-acres the hospice gardens feature two fish ponds, a Roman garden, Garden of Remembrance and more. They have won the titles London Hospices Garden at the London Gardens Society Awards and Best Commercial Garden at Havering in Bloom. There will be refreshments, plants and fundraising merchandise for sale at the event, which coincides with the London Open Squares Weekend. Entry is £2 at the gate, however the sessions with Ken need to be booked. Please call 01708 771431 or email fundraising@sfh.org.uk to book.
