COTTONS PARK
Cottons Park has retained its prestigious "Green Flag" for excellence in environmental maintenance and community involvement in the park. "Green Flag is run by a consortium including "Keep Britain Tidy" and "The Conservation Volunteers" among others. 8 parks in Havering received Green Flags for excellence this year. RAPHAEL PARK
Restoration of Raphael Park, funded by Heritage Lottery Fund, Veolia Trust and others, will begin this Autumn. The restoration will strengthen the role of the park as a centre for nature conservation as well as restoring the significant historic environment. Nature conservation improvements will also be funded by Friends of Raphael and Lodge Farm Parks. The Friends group website is http://www.friendsofraphaelpark.org.uk.
