BRENTWOOD ROAD GALLERY
Residents are invited to visit this excellent public art gallery in front of Frances Bardsley School. Forthcoming exhibitions include "I Never Said I had Answers" (23rd January - 10th February), an exhibition of textiles by "Material Girls" (20th Feb. - 2nd March) and a retrospective of work by Joanna Quinn (6th March - 30th March). The gallery is open to the public Wednesday-Friday 9am-4.30pm and on the second Saturday of every month 9am - 1pm. CHAMBER CONCERTS AT LANGTONS HOUSE
The Canteloupe Woodwind Trio will play at Langtons House on Thursday 19th January as part of the 2011/12 "Music for a Winter’s Night" series. The classical guitarist John Mills will play on Thursday 23rd February. Tickets are £13.50 (£9.50) usual concessions, available from Fairkytes Arts Centre in Billet Lane, Hornchurch, or by phone on 01708 456308. Credit cards are accepted.
CHILDREN’S ACTIVITIES AT HAVERING MUSEUM
Havering Hedgehogs group for children aged between 4-11 meets every Saturday between 12 noon and 1pm at Havering Museum in Romford High Street, offering arts and crafts activities and object hunts in the galleries. Annual membership is £10. The museum is run by the local voluntary charity Havering Museum Ltd.
