NEW SERVICE FROM AGE CONCERN HAVERING
"Pomelo" is a new enterprise from Age Concern, which offers a simple and affordable option for older people who want to stay in their own home and need support and care to do this. To find out more about this please contact Age Concern on 0208 270 4939.
DEMENTIA PEER SUPPORT CLUB
This club is offered by Age Concern Havering for people in the early to moderate stages of dementia. It provides a wide range of meaningful and stimulating activities which enable club members to enjoy themselves in a friendly environment. LOCAL HISTORY WALKS
A number of leaflets outlining local history walks which residents can enjoy are available from Havering Museum or local libraries free of charge. The "Havering Walks" include ones on the Transport Heritage of Romford, the royal heritage of Havering-atte-Bower, the manors of Harold Hill, Gidea Park Garden Suburb and Arts and Culture in Hornchurch.
