Havering’s Council Tax frozen
Havering’s Council Tax for 2011/12 was frozen to £150.05 a month (£1,505 per annum) per Band D property. The decision was taken when councillors met last night.
This year’s budget proposals builds on the savings that the Council identified last summer which means that we did not have to make any significant additional savings to balance the books for 2011/12.
Making an early start with financial planning has meant that the Council has been able to address around £1m of additional budget pressures this year as well as protect extra investment of £1.9million in adult social care.
