This may not be in Romford Town but Thurrock isn't very far away.
South Essex residents are being asked their views on the creation of and where to site new "wildlife habitat areas" in their communities.
Thurrock Council hopes to create strips of land which will help wildlife species to thrive.The areas can be of any size or shape and the council said it will ensure the areas are practicable and sustainable.
They could also provide corridors between different natural habitats for animals, insects and plants.
Val Morris-Cook, Thurrock's portfolio holder for environment, said: "We want to know what you think about the idea and if you have any ideas where and how these simple 'wild' areas could be introduced into our parks, open spaces and on other council-owned land."
The council's consultation is available on its website. It runs until the end of April.
