Travel information update for tomorrow, Sunday 12 August from TfL
Men’s Olympic Marathon event is taking place from 11:00 - 13:30 on roads in central London. There will be many bus diversions and The Mall, the City and Embankment areas are expected to be busy. There will be road closures and restrictions along the race route which will be put in place from 03:00 tomorrow morning and will reopen when it is safe to do so.
Closing Ceremony is taking place. Stratford station will be very busy from 17:30 - 20:30. Westfield Stratford City shopping centre will have restricted access after 20:00 to those with a Games ticket, staff or those using hospitality venues. You should avoid the station and shopping centre at these times and enjoy the other attractions that London has to offer during the Games; make the most of the theatres, restaurants, shops and free concerts.
Entrance to Hyde Park Live Site tomorrow for the Closing Ceremony concert is by ticket only. This event is sold out and the area will be very busy - please do not travel to this site unless you have a ticket. Hyde Park can be reached via Bond Street, Marble Arch and Green Park stations. Live Sites which do not require a ticket are at Victoria Park, Potters Fields, Waltham Forest and Woolwich. Victoria Park can be reached via Mile End station.
Last day: Tomorrow is the last day of the Olympic Games. With your help, we have been able to get a record-breaking number of passengers to their destinations whilst still getting spectators to their events.
